Well we got home from Arizona tonight. It was such a fun little vacation. We got there on Tuesday night and just went to our hotel and ordered pizza in. The next day Brady had to go to meetings all day so I just hung out at the hotel and laid out by the pool and just relaxed (we didn't have a rental car at this point). I felt a little weird because I was so white but oh well, I won't see any of those people again, right? Anyways, Brady came home later that night and we went and got a rental car. Then we went and met his co-workers and got dinner. We went to a place called Qdoba. Brady loves that place so he wanted me to try it. It is a lot like Costa Vida or Bahio.
On Thursday Brady only had to go to meetings from 8-12 so I just went shopping and checked out of the hotel. Then I went and picked up Brady and we were off to see a baseball game (Spring Training). We went to Mesa to a game that was going to be played there but it was way too packed so we just decided to go drive around and shop and look for other things to do. We decided to go see the Mesa temple. It was weird because the temple isn't in a really nice area but all of a sudden you see this beautiful landscaping and there is the temple. It was awesome. After we saw the temple Brady wanted to go to the huge Bass Pro Shop so we went and checked that out. Then we just went to another mall and to In-N-Out. Our friends Laurel and Brady always talk this burger place up so we thought we would give it a try. Honestly it was a disappointment. The fries were the nastiest fries I have ever had. Maybe it was just a bad batch. . . After that adventure we went to our new hotel. It was the Pointe Hilton at Tapatio Cliffs. It was really beautiful but by the end of the trip we decided we liked the Best Western we were at the first two nights a little better. After we checked in, we headed for a baseball game. We watched the Padres and the Mariners. It was really a fun game to watch. We were able to see the teams up close and it was a good game.
The next day, Brady and I got up and went to Scottsdale and went shopping. I found this new store that I am in love with. It is called Z Gallerie. I was so excited to find out that there is a Z Gallerie store in the Gateway! I will definitely be going there for decorations for our house! There were a bunch of other fun stores there too but that was my favorite. After shopping, Brady took me to the Cheesecake Factory. We both got pasta and it was SO yummy! Then we got some amazing chocolate cake. After we stuffed ourselves, we went back to the hotel and went to the hotel's little water park. They have a water slide, like six pools, and a bunch of hot tubs. After the pool, we got ready to go and went back to Mesa. We went back to where the Mesa temple is and went to their Easter Pageant. It was on the temple grounds. It was a really awesome show that they put on. While we were there, Brady saw a lady from his mission. It is crazy that he saw her because there were like 8-10,000 people there.
Today we just slept in and after we woke up we went to one of the pools and hot tubs and just relaxed and played a little. Then we got ready, checked out, and got on the airplane to come home. Our good friends Ky and Shelby Close and their daughter picked us up from the airport and we all went to PF Chang with one of Ky and Brady's companions (Carrie) and his wife (Kara) and two kids. It was a lot of fun to see them and it is always fun for the boys to reminisce about the good ol' mission. Anyways, we are home now and it is back to work and school and everything else. Oh yeah, just in case a guy is reading this, don't worry, Brady did get to watch the NCAA games during the trip and the highlights every night.

This looks like a fun trip! Yeah, it was a bad batch of fries, In-N-Out rocks - at least in Vegas on Charleston it does!! Let us know when you go to Z Gallerie, we would love to join you! Love you guys!
Brady, that is cool you got to see a lady from your mish at the Mesa temple!! Jamie says that is how you know you're right where you're supposed to be in life.
Stephanie,
I just wanted to thank you for your sweet comment. Little things like that mean so much to me and I wanted to thank you for sharing. I found your blog on Paige's too...but I'll probably checking often!
I'm so glad you found us! I love your blog. What a cool trip! We've been to Arizona before and really enjoyed it. I love the new house, very pretty! Plain City is such a nice area. Will you unlink my blog? I try and keep mine just to people I know since I post so much about the Marines and my kids. I sent your message to Arron so hopefully he'll have a chance to look at it.

Steph and Brady it sounds like you had a great time!! We went to the Mesa Temple when we were there last October and we have a picture just like yours! Crazy huh!! When we went there Chris was telling me that it wasn't a very nice area too and the park across the street is a huge drug trafficing area! The next block east of the Mesa Temple is where all the illegal imigrants stand on the street and beg for daily work. It is definitely different than Utah temples! One block west of the Mesa Temple is where Brady stayed with Chris in his apartment when Chris lived in Mesa. I am so excited you were able to get a way. Glad you had fun and you are back home safe! Love you guys!
Your trip looks so fun! We are jealous!
I can't believe you didn't like their fries! They are the only place I know that does home made fresh fries while you are watching! I feel bad, but at least you liked Cheesecake Factory. That is one of my favorites. Overall it sounds like you guys had a great time.
Fun trip....I love Mesa, Scottsdale and that area. You did all the fun things I would choose to do too. I love the picture of you two in front of the temple...very pretty. I would love to see the Easter pageant. I have heard wonderful things about it. Now, I have to refute the In-n-Out fries...they are the best! They peel, slice and fry them all fresh....try the animal fries next time with the sauce on them...yummy....but I do love Cheesecake factory too. Glad you could get away....Brittney has found some great things to decorae with at Z Gallery....I love that store too.
I just left a really long comment and it didn't show up! sorry if you get two comments from me. :) Anyway, that sound slike the perfect trip! shopping, good food, warm weather, the temple...all good things that I love! I sounds like you guys had alot of fun.
Sounds like fun, and IN-N-OUT really is disgusting you just didnt get a bad batch:-D And the cheesecake factory yum yum! Hows the house coming?! Let me knwo! Love ya!
