Valentines

Okay, I know this is a little late but I am just getting caught up for myself. . . Anyways, this was a nice Valentines Day for us.  It was a pretty regular day but I just thought it was the sweetest thing when Brady came home with flowers for me and Breckyn both.  Breckyn loved hers.  Breckyn LOVES flowers.  She loves smelling them.  It is so funny.  Here is our little sweetheart with her Valentines flowers.

Christmas 2010

So I am just a LITTLE late with this post but I thought I would do a quick one anyways.  Christmas was so fun this year.  Breckyn was so cute. She still wasn't totally interested in all of her presents but I think it just gets better each year.  On Christmas Eve we all got some sweet pajamas.  (Brady is going to kill me for putting this on the blog, haha)

On Christmas morning we all got up and opened our presents.  Breckyn got lots of fun stuff from Santa this year.  After we finished at our house we headed to my parent's house.  Later that day we went to Brady's parent's house.  We all got lots of fun stuff from all of our family members.  We were all so blessed this year and got some awesome stuff.  We have such a wonderful family and feel so blessed to have them in our lives. Christmas really is my favorite holiday.  It is not just one day for me, I feel like it is its own season.  I just love the feeling I get with the decorations and smells and everything.  This year I was able to go to a church in Pleasant View that had TONS of nativities set up for people to walk through and see.  They were all so beautiful.  It was a beautiful reminder to me of my savior and his sacrifice and how grateful I am for his birth.  I am grateful for Him, for my family, and for the knowledge I have of the gospel.  I think these three things together with the sights, smells, and other festivities make Christmas such a wonderful "season".
Grandma M got Breckyn a cute Christmas tree for her bedroom.

Breckyn LOVED playing with her cousin Bristol on Christmas.

Breckyn going through her stocking at Grandma and Grandpa Mitton's house.

She loved to play with Bristol's hair.

Our family on Christmas.

Breckyn's new toys.

Her new jammies.

Brady took Breckyn to pick our her Christmas dress this year.  It is the cutest little tradition for them.  I think he did a great job picking it out.  She looked so adorable in it.

Easter

This year we had an interesting easter.  On Saturday morning Brady's friend called and asked if we would want to go up to Heber with his family to stay in a cabin and go snowmobiling with them.  We decided to pack up and go for the night.  Brady had to work on Easter so we were planning on getting back as early as possible.  We had tons of fun up at the cabin.  It was so beautiful up there and we had wonderful company there with us.  We woke up the next morning and we were snowed in.  We finally were able to get down the mountain in the afternoon and we headed home.  Brady had to go right to work and Breckyn and I headed to my parent's house to finish conference and to spend a little time with them.  Unfortunately we didn't get to see my brothers, but we did get to see everyone else!  Breckyn and I stayed there until Brady got off work and then we headed to Brady's parent's house for dinner.  We spent some time with his family and then headed home.  Breckyn got lots of fun stuff from the Easter bunny this year.  We can't wait for next year when she might care a little more. :)  It was sad that we didn't get to listen to all of conference but thank goodness for DVR and the church magazines.  We will be able to hear all about what we missed!  Since we didn't get to go to church on Christmas, Breckyn wore her Easter dress the week before.  She is so adorable (of course).

Say Cheese!

Last week I didn't do a menu because Brady was out of town for a while.  But, we started it back up this week. Here is our menu for the week.  After we decided on everything we realized that they are all cheesy meals.  Whoops!  We both LoVe cheese (obviously) so it is going to be a yummy week!

Monday: Mizithra Cheese with noodles
Tuesday: Cheese Stuffed Chicken
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Butternut Squash Casserole
Friday: Grilled Cheese
Saturday: out to eat somewhere!

I did make a cheesy (yes, another cheese recipe) chicken bake last week and took a picture.  It turned out pretty yummy.

P.S. Happy Valentines Day!

A Little Late

Okay, I know I am a little late with the Christmas post.  I don't know what took so long...I guess lack of motivation.  We really did have a wonderful Christmas!  On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house for dinner and pajama gifts.  On Christmas day we woke up and did our little family gifts.  Breckyn got lots of clothes and toys.  She really didn't care about the gifts or the wrapping paper but she was still really cute!  Brady got tickets to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight (he is going with his brother, Travis).  I got an awesome new camera (Cannon T1i from Brady and my parents).  After we got done with our little family Christmas we headed to my parent's house.  Later in the day we went to Brady's parent's house.  We got lots of nice stuff and had lots and lots of fun.  We have such wonderful families and are so grateful for each of them.  It was a wonderful Christmas, especially because we had Breckyn here with us!

Halloween #1

We had such a fun Halloween. During the day some of my friends, Lindsey and Morgan, came over to see Breckyn. It was so fun to get to catch up with them! After that we got Breckyn in her costume and headed out for a little trick-or-treating at the grandparent's houses. We got to see our cute little nieces Skylar and Sailyr at Grandma and Grandpa Hess' house. They were so cute in their costumes! After visiting there we headed to my parent's house. We got to see my little sister and her friends all dressed up and also our adorable niece, Bristol. Then we watched Transformers 2 with my family. It was a fun 1st Halloween with Breckyn!

Oh baby!

On Monday we went up to Park City with some of Brady's family. The boys went and played golf and the girls went shopping. I got some really cute clothes for our baby! It was so much fun! I was so excited about the clothes that I had to take pictures to show them off.

Today we went to the doctor for our last ultrasound to make sure our baby was in the right position and ready to go. The doctor started the ultrasound and immediately found some bad news. She is "transverse" or sideways in my belly. We go back on Monday to see if she will move to head down by then. If she isn't turned by then the doctor will have to try and turn her. Brady and I felt really calm when she told us this today, even though this means that I might have to have a C-section. I am sure everything will go just fine no matter what. So, we will just hope that our little sweetheart will turn by Monday or that the doctor will be able to help her move to the correct position. But, we will see. So, if you remember, say a little prayer for our baby to MOVE (head down, that is). Other than that news, things are going well. Another update to come on Monday! Here is a picture of my prego belly (and face) today!

Happy Easter

Brady and I had such a nice Easter. Brady did have to work all day but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He got up and went to work and I got up and went to my parents house for breakfast and a quick Easter egg hunt. Then I ran over to Brady's work to go to his church that they have for the patients there. It was fun because I got to spend a little time with my sweet Brady. Then I went home and went to our ward to teach primary. After that I left to go to my mom's house to make cookies for a baby blessing. This was the funniest part of the day. I started out making the wrong recipe so we just used what was in there and tripled the real recipe so the yummy recipe would work. Then, whoops, my mom tripled the already doubled amount of SALT! It was so funny! So, we ended up making a 6x batch of chocolate chip cookies. After we baked them we were off to the baby blessing. It was for my best friend Laurel's baby, Paisley. She looked SO beautiful (as usual) and Brady (her daddy) did such a wonderful job blessing her. It was a wonderful blessing! My Brady was able to take a lunch and come to the blessing and to their house after church. Laurel has such a wonderful family and they are all so sweet! I am glad that I am able to know them, they really are a WONDERFUL family!
After Laurel's house, we went to my parent's house for dinner and another Easter egg hunt. Seriously, my mom LOVES Easter egg hunts! She loves hiding the eggs! She hid like 300 eggs! She is a maniac! Anyways, it was a really fun night! Oh, I have to add this so we can look back next year a know the TRUTH! Tyler, my little brother won the first Easter egg hunt by about 10-15. I won the 2nd one by 10-15! Anyways, I am really grateful for Easter. Not just because it is so much fun, but because I get to learn about and remember my savior. I am so glad I can be with my family for eternity! I love them all so much! I know that would not be possible without my savior! I am just so glad that I can repent for the many things I do wrong so that I can eventually see him again and thank him for what he did for me. I love the savior and I love you all that read this. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter like I did!

This is SOME of the candy we got from the Easter egg hunts!

Jubb and Kylie brought over some cute Easter houses that we made! It was SO much fun! I think they turned out really cute!

Thanks Jubb and Kylie!

Christmas

Brady and I had such a wonderful Christmas. It all started with the tree. Brady and I had used one of my parent's trees up to this year. But, it was time to get our own now that we have our own house. We finally found one, it is 12 feet tall. It touches our ceiling but luckily it fits! I was so excited and it was so fun to decorate. I have pictures above. I also put a little tree that my parent's gave us in our front room. I have always love flocked trees and that is what this little tree is. I love this little tree too!

On Christmas Eve, Brady and I went to my parent's house to talk to my little brother that is on his mission. It was really fun to get to talk to him. He is doing a really good job. We are so proud of him. After talking to him we watched a movie called Traitor. It was okay. Then, we all opened our Christmas Eve gift. We all got some pajamas. The girls all got zebra print pj pants, they are so cute! Then Brady and I went home and wrapped the few presents we hadn't and we opened our own Christmas Eve presents. . . more pajamas. Brady got me the SOFTEST pajamas I have ever felt. I love them.

On Christmas morning we woke up early and opened our presents from each other. Brady got me a new phone and a camera (I already had these though). He also got me two shirts, two pair of shoes, a new strainer, Microsoft Office, and the game Sims. I am so spoiled (Thanks Brady!). I got Brady a Winchester gun, a few dress shirts. We got an MP3 player for us to share. It was so fun to open presents as a little family. After we got ready, we headed to my family's house. After everyone got there we opened presents. Brady and I got a new Bosch mixer and wheat grinder. I got a ton of clothes and a couple pairs of shoes. Brady got some new shoes, his own MP3 player, some shirts, and some other things. My family is so wonderful. They do so much for us. Thank you all for everything you got us and everything you do for us! We love you!
So, after we opened gifts we ate some breakfast, tried on clothes, and just hung out. Then, we headed to Brady's parent's house. We opened gifts, ate food, and played games there. Brady got a gun cover, waders, gun cleaner, more pajamas, cologne, and a few other things. I got a new shirt, scarf, shoes, perfume, pajamas, and some other things. Brady's family also spoiled us! They also do so much for us! Thank you all for everything! We love you guys!
So, our Christmas was a very amazing one. We are so blessed to have all that we have. But, none of this would even be possible if we didn't have our savior. I am so grateful for his birth, death, resurrection, and his mission on this earth. I love this season because we think about our savior so much. The music is so beautiful and I always feel so warm inside even though it is cold outside. I am so grateful that I know our savior lives. I am so grateful for his sacrifice. I know that because of him I can be with all of my family again someday forever! What a wonderful thing! I am glad we have such wonderful family and friends and for their examples. We love you all and hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy new year!
