Wow we have been really busy it seems! I am horrible at keeping up on the blog, that is for sure! Here are a few highlights from the last month...
BRADY, LAUREL & PAISLEY LEAVE
This is the worst part of the whole last month. My best friend, Laurel has moved away! Brady is in medical school in Pittsburgh. I am so sad to not have her here but I know it will be a wonderful adventure for them! We got to have a fun little party with our friends before they left. Brady and I also got to go out to treats with Brady and Laurel right before they left. They are such good friends to us! Brady, Laurel, and Paisley, we miss you and can't wait for you to come back and visit!
(We have pictures of the party but they are on my parent's camera.. I will put them up soon).
BABY SHOWERS!!
I am such a lucky girl. I have had three fun showers so far. The first one was with my job at DBH. I work with three other ladies so they had a little shower for me. It was so much fun! We made a quilt for my baby and just ate and had fun! The next shower was my friend shower. My sweet friends Laurel, Steph, Emily, and Shelby did it for me. It was SO nice! I got so many fun gifts. The girls went to so much work and it was just perfect! Thanks you guys SO much for doing that for me, especially when you are all so busy! The next shower I had was the Hess family shower. My sister-in-laws and mother-in-law did this one for me. It was also a perfect shower! They did such a good job with everything. It was so fun to just get to talk with the girls and eat yummy food! So, thanks to everyone that came and everyone that has done so much for me! I love you all!
LINDSEY GOT MARRIED
My beautiful friend Lindsey got married August 8th. She was such a beautiful bride! I can tell that she is going to be so happy with her new hubby! Congrats Linds!
FALL CONFERENCE
For my work at DBH we had to go to a conference down at the Grand America. It was a three day conference. It was so nice to get a little change for work. There were some really interesting classes that we went to, along with some really interesting food! Okay, the food was okay except for the first day. They gave us pretzels, corn dogs, and nachos for lunch. It was very interesting. But, the other two days it was much better. It was fun to get to hang out with the girls from work and just have fun together. The only part that was rough was sitting for so long. By the end of the day my feet were always so swollen. Oh, and the second day we were there, my car got wet drywall all over it from that parking garage. But, that got fixed and all is well now. It was a good information and good company!
JEN HAS BABY BRISTOL!!
My sister, Jen, had her baby on her due date! It was so crazy! Jen went into labor Saturday August 22nd in the early morning. Jen and Scott became Jen, Scott, and Bristol at 7:40pm. She is SO beautiful! She is such a good baby and was wide awake and aware from the time she was born! It was SO exciting for my family to get the first grand baby! We were all being a little dorky, waiting outside the room listening for a cry. They named her Bristol June Read. She was 7 lb. 2 oz. and 19.25 inches. She has tons of brown hair and big beautiful eyes like her mom. We are so excited that Jen and Scott have her and that Jen and Bristol are doing just fine! That just made Brady and I even more excited to have our little angel!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CHRIS!
Brady's brother had a birthday the same day that Bristol was born. We were sad that we didn't get to see him that day but we hope it was a wonderful birthday for him. We celebrated his birthday as a family this past Sunday. Chris, we love you and hope your birthday was awesome!
"WORLD'S FAIR"
Okay, no we didn't go to the real "World's Fair", but Brady and his family calls the Box Elder County Fair "The World's Fair". I think that Brady's favorite thing about going to that fair is the food. He thinks the hamburgers are yummy. So, of course, we all got some of the yummy hamburgers. It was fun to go to the fair and see the animals and the booths. But, it made it fun because Travis and Sierra brought their adorable little girls. They loved to see the animals and ride the rides. How cute are they!?
FIVE MORE WEEKS UNTIL OUR BABY WILL BE HERE!
Well, I have five weeks left! We are getting so excited and a little nervous! We have a pretty good start on the nursery. We have the crib, dresser, bedding, glider (almost), and some ideas for decor. If anyone has a good idea for decorations for her room, let me know. The room colors are red, pink, and turquoise. Anyways, we don't have a name for sure but are working on it. I have some belly pictures but they are on my camera so I will have to wait to put them up. My feet and hands are permanently swollen. I have to shove my wedding ring on, but at least I can still get it on there, right??? :) But, other than getting swollen, things are going great. We get to have another final ultrasound next week to make sure she is in the right position. Hopefully she is all ready to go and in a month after that we will have her here, safe and sound!
Well, there is the update. Hopefully I will keep up a little better in the next month! Oh, if anyone knows some good photographers, let me know. I am looking for a good one for when we have the baby. Other than that, thanks for reading (if you made it all the way) and hopefully we will have some good updates soon!
