Venting. . . (long story)

Well today a couple crazy things happened. First off, my little brother Tyler got in a car accident. He was going down 2600 North and slammed into a girl in front of him. His air bag went off and my mom's car and the girl's car is smashed. Luckily, Tyler is not hurt too badly, just a sore face from the air bag. Next, Brady and I got up really early to go out to our house to finish cleaning it up so that we could get our carpet in. Let me back up a little bit. . . We set up our installation for carpet a couple weeks ago. We felt confident that we would be all done with the painting and have the fireplace rocked and everything to be ready for carpet. Well, we were wrong. If anyone has painted before you probably know how crappy it is (at least I think so). We left the tape on too long so when we took it off it just ripped the paint off. So, we had to keep re-painting and re-painting. I definitely have a lot of respect for those that are painters for a career. I don't know how they do that every day but I am glad that someone can do it (Peach) because I could not. Last night, we had my parents, Brady's dad and brother (Jubb), and Brady and I out at our house all night trying to finish cleaning and touching up the paint so that we would be ready. (THANK YOU GUYS) Luckily we got everything pretty close to done and then Brady and I went there to finish it up early this morning. Oh yeah, the guys that were going to do our rock on the fireplace decided to not start Monday like they said, but yesterday. They had to come bright and early and finish that too. ANYWAYS. . . they got the fireplace done and we got the cleaning done. THEN. . . I went out to the house after work and they guy had just brought out the carpet. He had most of the padding down so he was ready to start installing the carpet. He asked me to make sure it was right. . . It was WRONG! It was definitely the wrong carpet. It was way lighter than what we were supposed to be getting. Brady and I were pretty annoyed. We were hoping to be done by the middle/end of next week and the installer said it could take up to ten days to get it in. Well, they were the ones that messed up so they said they would rush it in from California and it would be here next Tuesday or Wednesday. So, if it is not here Tuesday we are going to cause a ruckus (ok, not really but we probably will feel like it). So, although that is only two things that were crazy today, it really seemed like a semi-crazy day. So thanks for reading me vent a little. SO, to finish off the day, Brady and I decided to take the night off working at the house and go do some golfing. It was my first time out this year! We went to the Barn. It was a lot of fun! Brady's parents came with us. I have a lot of work to do on my golf game, that's for sure! However, it was very nice to just take a little break! Oh, one good thing that happened with the house is that we got our concrete done today! We already have our driveway but they poured our front and back stairs and finished the front of the driveway (yay)! So, lets ALL hope that they get the carpet right next week and hope they get it in on Tuesday! Oh, and lets hope that no one else gets in a wreck (drive safe)!

Oh NO! Isn't that the way it goes....just hope that it isn't in threes.....I am sorry about all the problems with your house. They say if your marriage can survive building (or remodeling) a house you are set....so you are SET! I hope the carpet comes and is right! Can't wait to see the house. I am so sorry about Tyle's wreck. Glad he is all right. Which of your mom's cars was he in? Bad day! Take care and tell Tyler we hope he is feeling better fast.

OMGosh! I didn't realize you guys were already to the cleaning phase. I could have come and helped you on Tuesday, I was home all day! I am so sorry your carpet was wrong, but at least it gave you guys a chance for a little break. You deserve it!

It's so frustrating when things don't go according to plan! I'm sorry! I can feel your pain a little bit because we keep getting our car back from the body shop and one thing after another is wrong with it. It's so annoying! Good luck with getting the carpet in time!
